It's a short distance from the busy, winter Ocala show scene, but home to a serene, spacious, safe, farm surrounded by old mossy oaks. Whether you wish to ride and train in the large, covered arena or prefer the flat, manicured riding field, this farm offers you all the amenities to enjoy your horse and progress to the next level!

Deerwood Farm South boasts a new barn with housing 15 horses.  The large, 12 x 12 stalls offer great ventilation with full, sliding mesh doors to make horses comfortable in both the summer and winter climates. The barn's layout is designed to promote a continuous, soft breeze down the center aisle, as well as ease of access to the two tack rooms and office. There are two outdoor wash racks with hot and cold water for your horse, as well as showering facilities for riders, inside the barn, to clean up after a good workout!

There is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment with a full kitchen and common area attached to the barn for working students or employees. Additional, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom living space is located privately in the back of the property with room to expand. Fire detection systems are installed in both locations to ensure safety for both humans and horses. 24 hr close supervision will give any horse owner peace of mind!

Perhaps one of the greatest assets of Deerwood South is the lovely land it is built on. The area is one of the highest in the area! This means that it is always dry and well drained, offering consistent, safe footing for turnout and riding. The property boasts many live oak trees. They offer shade for the horses and riders during the summer months as well as a feeling of privacy and serenity. There are 4-rail wood fenced paddocks for turnout, a large covered outdoor arena and a beautiful, open riding field to enhance your horse's daily life! This setup is wonderful for cross training for all disciplines! The entire property is secured with protective fencing to keep small animals away!

Deerwood Farm South is in a beautiful section of horse country! Horse farms neighbor the property on all sides creating a safe community for you and your horse! While the safety and beauty of the area gives a secluded feel, downtown Ocala is a short 10 minutes away. Ocala is a booming town offering great entertainment and restaurant options. Gainsville is a busy, University city only a short 30 min drive north on I 75. Gainsville is home to Shands Hospital- one of the best hospitals in the south east!
